NASTI wins USMS Team of the Year Award at Convention

CHICAGO – The Noblesville Adult Swim Team, Inc. (NASTI) was selected as the Club of the Year of United States Masters Swimming.

USMS is the national governing body for over 50,000 adult swimmers and over 800 organized teams across the entire country. In making the selection of NASTI, the selection committee noted the many contributions to the community as well as the competitive achievements of the team.

NASTI has won the Indiana State Masters Championship seven times. In addition, its members were instrumental in forming The Friends of Central Pool, Inc., which “saved” the Forest Park Aquatic Center for the community 13 years ago. The team also hosted the first ever 25K National Championships in 2008, will host the 10K National Championships in 2010 and will again challenge the stout-hearted in 2011 with another 25K.

This was only the 5th award to a Club of the Year in the 39 year history of USMS.
