NASTI needs help with 10K

The United States Masters Swimming (USMS) 10K Open Water National Championship will be held right here in Morse Reservoir in Noblesville on July 17.

The 2010K, as we are calling it, will surely be the largest and best 10K National Championship ever! The success of the event will be due not only to the great venue and convenient geographic location, but also to the abundance of open water swimmers locally, regionally and nationally who will participate in the race. Proceeds will benefit the Forest Park Aquatic Center (The Friends of Central Pool, Inc.), an Indiana Not-For Profit corporation.

We are currently seeking sponsorships for the event. Sponsors can expect high visibility before, during and after the event with prominent exposure on our website, race flyers, event T-shirts and banners. Sponsor names and company logos also will be displayed at the race site and their advertising or other promotional materials will be placed in participant goody bags. Sponsors may participate by making relatively modest donations of money, goods or services for the conduct of the event.

If you would like to become a sponsor, or know of a local business that would like to support and gain exposure during this National Championship, please let me know as soon as possible.

The 2010K website is up; swimmers are beginning to hit the site hard as the entry forms and online registration will go live soon.

Thanks for your interest and help.

The meet saw some amazing races, including IU swimmer Kosuke Kojima’s 51.61 win in the 100-yard IM over Indy SwimFit Ben Christoffel’s 52.95.

Christoffel also hit a 21.16 in the 50 free, one of three swimmers to break 22 seconds. The 34-year old beat 23-year-old Masataka Ishimatsu’s 21.24 and 24-year-old Kyle Ruth’s 21.47. Both swim for IU Masters.
