2011 USMS 25K Results

Results for the 2011 USMS 25K Solo and 15K & 20K Relays are posted.  Thanks to Dick Sidner and his incredible supporting cast for being such great hosts and putting on such a wonderful event!  Even with a delay caused by early morning storms, the fun and sportsmanship experienced by the participants and workers shows why open water swimming has become such a popular sport.

Indy Aquatic Masters to host LCM meet July 2, 2011

Indy Aquatic Masters is proud to announce the All American Invitational swim meet. This long course meters meet will be held on July 2 at the IUPUI Natatorium.  Warm up starts at 8 a.m. and the meet starts at 9 a.m.  The meet costs $42.  Online entries are due June 29 and mailed entries must be post marked by June 27.   There will be no individual deck entries, though relays will be deck entered; relays cost $12.

2011 USMS Open Water Swim Clinic – Sunday, June 12, 2011

On Sunday, June 12, 2011, the Noblesville Adult Swim Team and Forest Park Aquatic Center will present an Open Water Swimming Clinic to be held in conjunction with the USMS 25K Open Water Nationals in Noblesville, IN. The clinic is open to beginners as well as experienced open water swimmers and is designed to develop skills and knowledge specific to racing in open water for swims ranging from the swim leg of a triathlon to channel swims.

Proceeds from the clinic will go to the Friends of Central Pool, Inc., an Indiana Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) corporation which operates the Forest Park Aquatic Center.

Mallory Mead, a coach and open water specialist for Southern California Aquatics (SCAQ) will be joined by a league of local and experienced open water swimmers and coaches to deliver this engaging open water-specific curriculum.

The clinic will be delivered in two sessions with a lunch break in between (lunch provided).
