GRIN seeks Sanctions Chair

Greater Indiana Masters Swimming is taking applications for a new Sanctions chairperson.

The applicant will sanction Indiana swimming events and must attend GRIN board meetings. The board meets roughly 3-4 times a year. We’re also looking for someone who will take a proactive approach in GRIN swimming and USMS, our parent organization.

Contact Jim Barber at or Dick Sidner at for more information.

Here is the job description.

GRIN board to meet Monday

The GRiN board will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at Wolfies, 1162 Keystone Way, Carmel.

The board will discuss a wide range of issues, including the Swimming Saves Lives initiatives, the Fall Classic, the potential to increase club fees, plus reviews of the State Meet, updates of finances, registration, and future coaches clinics.

The meeting is open to all GRIN members. I’ll post minutes afterward.
