Great Results at the USMS 15K Open Water National Championship

The USMS 15K Open Water National Championship took place on Saturday, June 20 at Morse Reservoir in Noblesville, Indiana. The 15K course consisted of three counterclockwise 5K loops in this residential reservoir. There was also a non-championship 5K event available and a relay option. Congratulations to the top three overall finishers in the 15K: Adam Dawkins, Cheryl Reinke, and John Humenik. The 5K was won by Mike Dolence and the winning relay team consisted of Mike Dolence, Brian Cummings, and Dean Hawks. Check out the full race results and congratulations to all who competed.

New Meet This Weekend – The Muncie Mayor’s Meet

Taking place at Tuhey Pool (500 W North Street, Muncie 47303), this LCM meet is a great opportunity to test your racing mettle against the younger set. Taking place over 3 days (Friday, 6/12 – Sunday, 6/14), the meet offers a multitude of events to choose from. Due to the short notice, DECK ENTRY IS AVAILABLE this weekend for Masters swimmers. Masters will compete in the Open events. Will you be there?

GRIN Proudly Recognizes Our 2014 Top Ten Swimmers and USMS All Star!

Congratulations to Indy Aquatic Masters’ Marty Mennen for being named  the USMS All-Star for 2014. Pool All-Stars are those who have achieved the most first place finishes in their age group during the year in Top Ten competition. Congratulations Marty!

Congratulations are also in order to all of the GRIN swimmers who have been earned Top Ten finishes for both USMS and FINA. With new Indiana State records set during 2015 in each pool format (SCY, SCM, and LCM), we knew our state had fast swimmers. Check out all of the USMS Top Ten finishers within GRIN.
