GRIN Election Results

The GRIN Election Meeting was held on Monday, March 16. Your newly elected Executive Board members are Jerrilyn Bayless, Chair; Stephen Rouch, Vice Chair; Molly Meyer, Secretary; and Sue Pollard, Treasurer. Learn more about your new Board members. The new Board members will officially assume their duties at the Annual Meeting (held via conference call) on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 12:00pm (EST).

We would like to encourage all GRIN programs to make sure they have selected a Club Representative to represent their Club’s interests at the Board meetings of Greater Indiana Masters Swimming (GRIN). Pursuant to our current By-Laws, any program that has 4 or more members is entitled to select one Club Representative to represent their Club’s interests at the Board meetings of Greater Indiana Masters Swimming (GRIN) and vote in the Election Meeting. The Club Representative can be any coach or swimmer that is a USMS member in good standing and is affiliated with GRIN. Please fill out the Club Representative Forms indicating either new or changed Reps and email to the GRIN Secretary.

Cancelling the 2020 GRIN State Championship

I’m sure you are all aware of the evolving situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Indiana University is actively monitoring this situation and making decisions to best protect the health and safety of the IU community in consultation and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and state and local health officials. As such, leadership from both GRIN and the IU Natatorium have decided that it is the best interest of public health and safety to cancel the 2020 GRIN State Championship. Everyone who has signed up for the meet will automatically receive a full refund through Club Assistant. There is no need to take action. We thank you for understanding and look forward to seeing you all next year!
